Meet Jerrica
Jerrica Stone is a versatile music director, conductor, copyist, arranger/orchestrator, and multi-instrumentalist with a focus on bilingual stories and new works development.
Music has been part of Jerrica's life from childhood. Growing up in small towns, her escape was always the piano. She competed in local, national, and international circuits through high school, and attended San Diego State University where she earned a BA in piano performance.
After college, Jerrica played in orchestras for ballets and other classical settings, until "making the jump" to musical theater in 2016. Since then, she's broadened her work as a music director, orchestrator, and copyist with houses in San Diego and New York City. Favorite regional credits include: "The Outsiders" (La Jolla Playhouse), "Henry VI" (The Old Globe, San Diego), "Regency Girls", "Telo", "Last Coffee in Rockville".
Since 2023, her focus shifted towards musicals and stories about the queer community as well as bilingual stories.
Jerrica is also the Executive Production for Miss San Diego Organization (Part of the Miss America Org), where she gets to empower young women to step into their own magic.
She is an amateur chef, runner and cyclist, and devoted dog mom.
As a dedicated advocate for mental health and living with chronic illnesses, she volunteers often with groups promoting healthy mind and body connections throughout San Diego.

Music Direction
This is such a collaborative art. I love being able to work with creative teams, but especially love working with the actors to help bring stories to life. It's not just about making the songs "sound good", it's about how we can make audiences "feel something" with our music.
I'm an expert in moving quickly through the rehearsal process while still allowing space for creativity.
Piano / Conducting
Being able to sit among other musicians, whether behind a piano or on a conductors podium, brings me so much life! I love getting to marry the band sounds with the actor sounds to create a cohesive sound that will transport audiences to a different time and place.
Other Services
- Orchestrations: Being about to dig deep into a score and pick out the perfect instrumentations, then writing for each instrument.
- Copyist/Engraving: Taking a composer's work and making it clean and legible before it even gets to the hands of actors and musicians. (Finale, Sibelius, and Dorico)
